Kevin M says:

Thank you very much sir! love the videos and you’re hilarious

groovydjs says:

Many thanks.

NapoleanXV says:

Hey Scott, Love the videos. Nice to see an honest guy doing reviews. I just wanted to say this is a good lesson, but it’s not a “true” walking line. Walking lines shift between the chords in a progression by having a leading tone, one semi-tone above or below the next chord’s root note, on the last beat in the measure.

Bluebuthappy182 says:

Thanks for the reply

groovydjs says:

Thanks my friend. You are correct. Whatever feels and works best for you is the way to go. Trying all different styles of picking, fingerstyle, etc is worth trying out and all types will yeild a different sound. Having fun is the most important thing!

Bluebuthappy182 says:

Nice little lesson there man. Been looking around for the picking technique for bass and from what I can pick up your right, it’s whatever works for you.

groovydjs says:

My pleasure, I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for upload

groovydjs says:

Thank you my friend! I have went and checked out your video and left you a comment. For anybody wanting to check out a real talent, super slap and funk skills that is going to be a MONSTER, and is only 17 years old! Watch out for this guy…..go check out his video. Quite impresive. Makes me want to go back into my den and get funky with my bad self. It was easy enough to follow your left hand….I’ll have to go dicipline my right hand. (No jokes from the rest of you…lol).

Julien Guyomard says:

BTW I loved this lesson ! Now I’m walking all day long without getting out of my bedroom :) You should check out my video too :D

groovydjs says:

You are most welcome! I hope there was something that you can work with there and that it inspires you to come up with your own cool stuff. Play well my friend.
Scott

groovydjs says:

I love that! How have I not heard that or even thought of it my whole life? That’s cool.

Julien Guyomard says:

Yeah bassists definetely have to learn how to walk twice in a single life

groovydjs says:

I would, but I sold it long ago. I had to make room for some more stuff. Not better basses, just ones that are better for investment purposes.

Brett C says:

Can you PLEASE make a FULL review of your Peavey Millennium BXP 5-String Bass Guitar?

groovydjs says:

Awesome. I’m glad you liked it. Plus, welcome aboard!
Scott

Brett C says:

Liked & Added to favorites. Thanks man!

groovydjs says:

You are so welcome. I hope this stuff helps you out!

Blažo Marković says:

woah ty mate you fkn rock ! :D m/

groovydjs says:

No problem. Most folks that NEED lessons don’t tend to know their notes. So, that is why I present them this way. Also, there are countries that use the note “H”. So……I can’t be calling out the H and having everybody in the other countries thinking I’m Guitarded now can I? lol

olflatop says:

It’s really great of you to post this, but personally I can’t hang with fret numbers. It’s gotta be note names as far as that goes but I can always follow by ear. Thanks!

groovydjs says:

So true, the learning never, ever stops for any of us.

1994Jordynn says:

I’ve been playing bass almost 3 years, 7 years of guitar before that.. I would sound arrogant if I said I “mastered” the bass. But even pros can use a lesson or two.. There’s always a lick or two you can explore.

groovydjs says:

Thankyou very much. I can start to get to putting videos up around February. December and January are so hectic with selling as many DVD’s as I do. So, after the holidays I’ll be happy to throw a bone your way.

Mrbilld52 says:

Great video. When are you going to do more like Jazz or Blues?

groovydjs says:

Hi my friend. I’m glad that you found something that you could add to your bag of tricks! We all can use those for sure. I’m always looking for something new so that I simply don’t bore myself every night. lol
